Nefertiti and her husband Akhenaten were known for a religious revolution, in which they worshipped one god only, Aten, or the sun disc. This was a major change in Ancient Egyptian period by abandoning Egypt's traditional polytheism and introducing Atenism

 

Nefertiti, being a co-pharaoh for her husband, Akhenaten; has played a huge part in this change. There are many relief structures showing nefertiti being associated with the sun god, Aten. This itself proves that she was a devout worshipper of the sun god. The concept is the relationship of Nefertiti with her religion of Atenism and the sun god, Aten.

 

The aim is to capture the essence of her ways of worship and how strong her bond was with her religion.
